The Ampco Pumps Company remanufacturing program involves a COMPLETE overhaul of your worn pump. This is not a repair…When we say remanufacture, we mean it. Your pump will be re-machined and will include all new internal and external parts, seals, and elastomersโregardless of their current condition.
Ampco will restore your Waukesha U1, U2, Wright Process TRA10, TRA20, or Ampco ZP Series style pump (from 006 to 520) to its original brand-new efficiencyโguaranteed. Having your pump remanufactured at Ampco will cost you 30% less than buying a new one and will last just as long.

Overhaul comprises

RE-MACHINED PUMP HOUSING
Pump housings are removed, inspected for wear, and re-machined to one of our oversize tolerances (.020,.040, .060, or .080), depending on the pump model, wear level, and any prior re-machining. (See the tolerance renewal chart on the back.)
NOTE: Depending on the model, pumps can be remanufactured multiple times.

GEARCASE RECONDITIONING
All gearcases are fully disassembled, with all gears and internal components removed. They are washed to eliminate old lubricants and contaminants, then sandblasted to remove old paint, rust, and surface imperfections.
The exterior of the cast iron gearcase is refinished with a powder coatingโnot paint.

NEW ROTORS, SHAFTS, AND INTERNAL PARTS
All reconditioned gearcases and re-machined housings come with a set of NEW 17-4 PH shafts, oversized Alloy 88 rotors, rotor nuts, helical gears, bearings, stainless steel bearing retainers, seals, elastomers, and stainless steel clean-out plugs.
NOTE: Regardless of the pumpโs original manufacturer, these upgraded parts are included
at no extra cost.

COVER RECONDITIONING
All covers are inspected, re-machined, and polished to remove defects and ensure proper sealing.
