Your Role
As an Electro-technician / Maintenance Technician, you will become a key member of the company. You will ensure the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of liquid process instruments and equipment, while delivering a flawless customer experience aligned with our quality standards.
This position also includes tasks in collaboration with the manufacturing workshop manager.
Your Responsibilities
Work on various process equipment: pumps, valves, heat exchangers, instrumentation, variable frequency drives, etc.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as calibration of Haffmans instruments and repair of Ampco pumps.
Program PLCs and HMIs, and handle commissioning and servicing of industrial machines designed by N.X.T. Process.
Travel to customer sites to perform maintenance.
Participate in professional development with training provided in the manufacturing workshop:
Welding, polishing, mechanical assembly, control cabinet fabrication.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
Comply with occupational health and safety standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes.
Desired Profile
Diploma in electromechanics, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
Knowledge of liquid processes (a major asset).
Knowledge in electricity, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and instrumentation (an asset).
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
Autonomy, versatility, customer service mindset, and team spirit.
Knowledge of health and safety standards.
Valid driver’s license and availability for travel to client sites.
Ability to communicate in French and English (spoken and written).

Your Role — Pipe Fitter / Welder (High Pressure)
As a High-Pressure Pipe Fitter and Welder at NXT Process, you play a central role in bringing engineered process systems to life. Working closely with our engineering department, you transform ideas and technical concepts into precise, reliable, and fully tested assemblies.
Unlike traditional fabrication shops, our design-built workflow means you collaborate directly with engineers, receive drawings adapted to each client’s need, and can participate in agile adjustments as projects evolve. You will fabricate piping systems, skids, and modular equipment using a variety of welding and assembly techniques to support industries such as food & beverage, brewing, industrial processing, and clean technology.
Key Responsibilities
Critical responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and fabrication plans created by our in-house engineering team.
Fabricate and assemble high-pressure piping systems, process skids, and stainless-steel components with exceptional precision.
Perform TIG, MIG, and orbital welding on stainless steel and other alloys following required procedures and quality standards.
Cut, prepare, bend, and fit tubing or piping according to specifications (manual or machine-assisted).
Perform machining, polishing, and finishing operations as required for each project.
Conduct preliminary quality control checks: weld inspection, alignment, pressure integrity, cleanliness.
Assemble complete systems and participate in testing (pressure tests, functional tests, FAT).
Collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to adjust fabrication when design modifications are required—sometimes even before drawings are finalized.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace that supports safety, precision, and efficiency.
Contribute to a strong workshop communication culture that ensures smooth hand-offs between engineering and fabrication teams
Desired Profile
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a welder, pipe fitter, or in a similar fabrication role.
Extensive experience with TIG welding on stainless steel (MIG and orbital welding experience is a strong asset).
Excellent organization, rigor, and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a customer-oriented mindset.
Ability to work autonomously while communicating effectively with the engineering team.
Proficiency in French
Basic knowledge of office software and CRM tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Mandate
Development and Deployment of Strategic AI Tools to Support the Engineering Department
The tools to be developed and the expected outcomes will be clearly defined by management.
Your responsibility will be to determine the best way to achieve them.
You will:
- Analyze the functional objectives defined for each tool
- Structure an optimal technical approach to achieve the desired outcome
- Develop and deploy productivity tools integrated within the Microsoft 365 environment
- Prioritize the use of Microsoft Copilot to ensure seamless integration with Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, and the document ecosystem
- Explore and integrate other AI technologies when they allow objectives to be achieved more effectively
- Validate that the tools deliver the targeted productivity gains
- Optimize and improve solutions after deployment
Any software licenses or subscriptions deemed relevant will be provided.
You will work directly with management.
You will not be trained in AI — you will be responsible for delivering results and identifying any training you need.
Secondary Mandates (depending on progress of the primary mandate)
Implementation of AI Best Practices
- Support the team in adopting best practices for using artificial intelligence
- Define internal standards (prompting, data security, response validation, governance)
- Train and support employees in effective use of deployed tools
- Structure clear and evolving documentation of recommended practices
Technical Support – Manufacturing
- Assist the manufacturing department in troubleshooting robots and automated systems using AI as an analysis tool
- Develop AI-based approaches to accelerate diagnosis of mechanical, electrical, or logical issues
- Explore the use of AI for analyzing technical documentation, schematics, logs, and maintenance histories

Internship 1 – Development of a Portable Industrial Diagnostic Tool
A former intern designed, developed, and assembled a portable device used to diagnose and start automated control systems.
The device includes:
- Electronic input/output (I/O) integration
- Integrated pneumatic distribution
- Interface for connection to industrial systems
- Mechanical design and complete assembly
Today, this tool is used by NXT Process to:
- Diagnose automated systems at client facilities
- Accelerate equipment commissioning
- Reduce on-site intervention time
- It has become a standard internal tool.
Internship 2 – Design of a Test Bench for Equipment Under Development
Another intern designed and assembled a test bench for equipment under development.
This bench allows:
- Validation of prototype performance
- Testing of mechanical and automated components
- Creation of a repeatable testing process
This test bench will notably be used to test future prototypes developed by upcoming product development interns.
